Nicole C. Strasser (born in Munich, Germany) is a multidisciplinary artist and director working across immersive media, XR, and performance. She is best known for creating embodied, narrative-driven experiences that explore the relationship between body, space, and audience perception. Her practice combines immersive theatre, choreography, and virtual environments, translating physical and emotional states into spatial and interactive forms.
Her work is grounded in an exploration of intimacy, power, memory, and transgenerational trauma, often drawing on personal and historical contexts, including the legacy of war and inherited experience. Engaging with the body as both subject and medium, she investigates how tension, control, and vulnerability can be structured and experienced within performative environments.
Nicole C. Strasser has participated in numerous exhibitions and projects, including THE HUB Schwabing – Digital Lab (ArtMuc, Munich, 2019), VR Lab (Medientage, Munich, 2020), Cosmic Hive (Pathos, Munich, 2021), INCorporated Art Fair (Hamburg, 2021), Critical Spaces (Gallery Digital Art Space, Munich, 2022), Hyperreality Premiere (Schwere Reiter, Munich, 2022), and Hyperreality (Theaterhalle am Dom, Würzburg, 2025). Her projects have also been featured in international film festivals and XR labs, including Stereopsia Booster Lab (Brussels, 2022), GIFF (Geneva, 2022), New Images (Paris, 2022), VR Days (Rotterdam, 2022), and the European Creators Lab (2019 and 2021).
